Andrea came up with a great idea, but if it was that easy, we'd all be rolling in dough. I tend to outline instead of using index cards, but I like some of her ideas.
Although, she didn't talk about dialogue, internal monologue, show don't tell, all the real stuff that makes a novel worth reading.
stonewriter, I thought it was a pretty good presentation, but like you said, it didn't get into dialogue and some of the other important stuff. Maybe she'll do another one. I lean more toward outlines myself, but the cards would be good in that you can move them around. Of course, on the computer, we can cut and paste to our heart's content!
